One soldier died when militants opened fire on a gendarmery team in the eastern province of Elazig on Monday.
Militants opened fire on a gendarmery team, which was going to the rural area for a mission, in Elazig's Karakocan town, reported Worldbulletin.
One soldier died in the clash.
In a separate operation in Dicle town of the southeastern province of Diyarbakir, two militants were killed.
Also, the General Staff said in a statement it posted on its web-site that a militant surrendered to security forces in Yuksekova town of the southeastern province of Hakkari.
