Turkish foreign minister arrives in Cyprus to meet leaders
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan arrived in the Northern Cyprus (NC) on Thursday for a series of talks, reported World bulletin.
Babacan reiterated Turkey's support for Turkish Cypriot President Mehmet Ali Talat who has been conducting peace talks with the Greek Cypriot leader to have a settlement on the island for reunification.
"We extend full support for the constructive attitude of the TRNC and President Talat for fair and lasting settlement based on the realities of the island," Babacan told reporters before his departure from the Turkish capital Ankara.
Babacan will meet with TRNC President Talat, Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer and Foreign Minister Turgay Avci.
