Turkish FM met with the Egyptian PM

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with the Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Mohamed Nazif in Cairo on Thursday, Anadolu Agency reported.

Davutoglu and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit went to Nazif's office for a trilateral meeting.

Davutoglu and the Egyptian leaders discussed bilateral relations, the problems in the Middle East and ways to make maritime lines between Turkey and Egypt more effective.

Turkey's plans to open 10 new embassies in Africa were also discussed by Davutoglu and the two Egyptian dignitaries.

Earlier in the day, Davutoglu met with the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Lieutenant General Omar Suleiman.

Davutoglu and Suleiman discussed the recent developments in the Middle East and the Palestinian-Israeli problem.

Ahmet Davutoglu is in Cairo upon an official invitation by Gheit.
