The governor of southeastern Hakkari province has said that three soldiers were injured in Tuesday's terrorist attack on a military unit in his province, Anadolu news agency reported.
PKK terrorists opened fire on a military unit in Hakkari's Cukurca town's mountainous Uzundere region near the Iraqi border in evening hours on Tuesday.
Speaking to AA after the attack, Hakkari Governor Muammer Turker said three soldiers had been wounded in the incident according to the initial information he got from officials.
Turker said the injured soldiers had been sent to Hakkari Military Hospital and a wide-scale air-backed operation had been launched in the region to capture the terrorists that staged the attack.
