Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu participated in the oath taking ceremony of Kyrgyzstan President Roza Otunbayeva and had a meeting with Otunbayeva after the ceremony, TRT World reported.
President Roza Otunbayeva received Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu as the first foreign leader after taking oath of her office at the parliament building that has been used as the government building.
President Otunbayeva received Davutoğlu greeting him in Turkish as "Hoşgeldiniz" and said that she was happy to see Turkey on the side of Kyrgyzstan.
Press was not allowed in the meeting that lasted for two and a half hours.
Davutoğlu also had a meeting with Kyrgyzstan Interim Government Foreign Minister
Ruslan Kazakbayev at the foreign ministry.
