The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) committed a night attack in the eastern Turkish province of Hakkari. As a result three Turkish soldiers were killed and three others wounded, CNN Turk reported.
The separatists attacked a police station near the Beyordu village. The clashes killed three Turkish soldiers and nine terrorists.
The PKK terrorist attacks on the Turkish troops increased in recent times. The Turkish army has lost 46 people over the past two months.
The Turkish armed forces launched a massive operation on the border with Iraq to combat the separatists.
A large quantity of military equipment and special service troops were sent to the provinces of Hakkari and Sırnak.
