Turkish police seized a total of 190 kg of hashish and 15 kg of heroin in eastern Turkey on Saturday, Turkish officials said, Xinhua reported.
The Turkish police teams launched two separate operations against drug traffickers and confiscated 190 kg of hashish in hidden compartments of a truck in Van province, the officials were quoted as saying by the semi-official Anatolia news agency.
In another operation, the police followed a car travelling from Van to the Turkish largest city of Istanbul, stopping the car and finding 15 kg of heroin in the car, said the officials.
Drivers of the car and the truck were arrested in operations, they said.
Turkey is a key transit route for smuggling drugs from Asia and the Middle East to markets in western Europe.
