A fuel tanker and a passenger van collided in Istanbul's İkitelli district Sunday, killing at least eight people, including two children, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
The accident happened around 4:45 p.m. on one of the side roads parallel to the TEM highway when a truck collided with a passenger minibus in the industrial district, broadcaster NTV reported.
More than 10 people were reported to have been injured in the crash.
Paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The injured were taken to the Bakırköy, Haseki, Vakıf Gureba and Istanbul Medical School hospitals.
