Turkish FM to discuss state of U.S. citizens arrested in Iran

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will meet with families of the U.S. travelers arrested in Iran. It is expected that he will discuss this issue with his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki, TRT Russian reports.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will meet with families of the U.S. travelers arrested in Iran. It is expected that he will discuss this issue with his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki, TRT Russian reports.  

The U.S.citizen Sarah Shourd, freed by Iran after a long detention, appealed to Davutoglu to help to free her fiancé Shane Bauer and friend Joshua Fattal.

Sarah Shourd and family of the arrested travelers met with Turkish Foreign Minister at the Turkish House in New York. Shourd invited Davutoglu to her wedding, to be held in San Francisco when her fiancé will be freed.

Davutoglu already talked about the state of the travelers with U.S. Secretary of Hillary Clinton, who thanked the minister for his efforts. It is expected that Davutoglu will discuss the situation at a planned meeting with his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki.
