Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will travel to Qatar on Thursday to discuss regional developments, Anadolu Agency reported.
Diplomatic sources told the AA that the Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani phoned Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and exchanged views on the developments taking place in Lebanon.
Meanwhile, Davutoglu received members of the Syrian-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Group led by Ismet Mahli in Ankara on Wednesday.
Davutoglu and the Syrian delegation discussed Turkish-Syrian bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional issues, including Egypt and Tunisia.
Davutoglu told the Syrian deputies that he would participate in a ground breaking ceremony for a dam to be built on river Asi on the weekend and that the dam would contribute to friendship between Turkey and Syria.
