Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met on Friday Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of United Arab Emirates where he is paying a working visit, Anadolu News Agency reported.
Davutoglu's meeting with Al Nahyan discussed regional issues, diplomats said.
Before his meeting with the Crown Prince, Davutoglu had a meeting with UAE's Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two foreign ministers inaugurated the renovated office building of the Turkish Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Davutoglu described UAE as a very close friend of Turkey.
He said relations between UAE and Turkey were improving very quickly in recent years, adding, "we see UAE as the most important strategic ally of Turkey in the region in the coming period".
