Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan postponed his upcoming visit to Brussels, Turkish officials said on Monday, Anadolu News Agency reported.
Erdogan is currently in Germany to hold talks and inaugurate the CeBIT trade show together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Erdogan was scheduled to proceed to Brussels from Germany to meet top EU officials but he postponed his visit as he would attend the funeral of Necmettin Erbakan, one of the former prime ministers of Turkey and leader of Turkey's Felicity Party, who died in Ankara on Sunday aged 85.
Erbakan will be laid to rest in Istanbul on Tuesday.
