Turkey can stop operations on border with Iraq: FM

Turkey welcomes Iraqi decision on concentration of Security forces in northern areas of the country to fight against terrorism.
"This operation allows Turkey to stop cross-border operation," Anadolu agency quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying.
"If Iraq uses its security forces in the north, it will yield positive results in the fight against terrorism," Davutoglu added.
Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki stated yesterday that Iraq should use its internal security forces with a view to effectively fight against the terrorist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
To this end, Al-Maliki proposed a project providing for concentration of the Iraqi Security Forces in northern areas of Iraq.
"If Iraq uses its security forces in the north, it will yield positive results in the fight against terrorism," Al-Maliki said.
