PKK militants continue terror attacks in Turkey

Militants of the Working Party of Kurdistan (PKK) attacked on the Turkish security forces last night and this morning., CNN Turk reported.

Following yesterday's terror attack that killed 24 soldiers, the PKK militants fired rocket-propelled grenades at a group of Turkish soldiers in the Siirt city. No one was hurt as a result.
A mine explosion wounded three soldiers in the Mush city this morning. They were taken to nearby hospitals.

Twenty four Turkish militaries were killed and eighteen got injured in a clash with Kurd terrorists in the Hakkari province on Wednesday.

Turkey has recently initiated an active struggle against terrorism.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which has continued for more than 25 years, put an end to lives of over 40,000 people. PKK is recognized as terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.

PPK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, launched an armed campaign for an ethnic homeland in the mainly Kurdish southeastern Turkey in 1984, sparking decades of strife that has claimed more than 30,000 lives.
