Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Arab League Secretary General Nabeel Al-Arabi over after reports that Syria and the Arab League agreed on a plan to end unrest in the country, Turkish diplomatic sources said, AA reported.
Syrian state television earlier reported "agreement regarding a final document on the situation in Syria," saying that the Arab League would make an official announcement on Wednesday.
But a senior Arab League official has said the organisation still awaited a response from Syria over proposals for ending the violence in the country.
