An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale has today jolted the Turkish city of Kayseri, CNN Turk TV channel reported. According to preliminary data, no deaths or damage is reported as a result.

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale has today jolted the Turkish city of Kayseri, CNN Turk TV channel reported. According to preliminary data, no deaths or damage is reported as a result.

Previously a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 jolted the Van Province on Oct.23 killing more than 600 people.

An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale with the epicentre in Edremit took place in the province of Van on Nov.9. The earthquake destroyed 25 buildings, including two hotels. As a result, 40 people died.
