An earthquake hit the Turkish province of Kutahya on Thursday, NTV TV channel reported.
According to the seismic observatory of the Bosphorus University, the earthquake measured 5.1 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred at 18:20 local time. The epicenter was in Hisarcik district at a depth of about 3 kilometers.
There was panic and people from nearby villages left their homes for fear of damage.
An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred in the Turkish city of Izmir on Thursday morning, CNN Turk TV channel reported.
According to preliminary data, no victims and damage are recorded as a result of the earthquake.
