Turkey plans to buy seven high-speed trains worth 285 million euros from the German Siemens company, Sabah newspaper said on Thursday.
The agreement signed between the parties indicates that Siemens will also take over the servicing of the trains for seven years.
The trains will be used on the Istanbul-Ankara and Ankara-Konya routes.
Turkey is expected to purchase 180 more high-speed trains by 2020. Siemens trains reach speeds of up to 403 km/ h.
