Turkey plans to create a domestic search system, Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz was quoted Oct. 15 by the Turkish news agency Anadolu as saying.
"The Scientific and Technological Research Council (TUBİTAK) will work over this system," he said.
"Its design will cost 100 million lira," Yilmaz said. "The project will be ready by 2016."
TUBİTAK was founded in 1963. Currently, TUBİTAK is working on a project of a new unmanned reconnaissance vehicle similar with American drone "Global Hawk".
