Turkish police seize bomb-laden car near Syrian border

Shanliurfa Police Chief Eyup Pınarbashı said five suspects had been detained following the seizure of the car, Today's Zaman reported.
The incident comes one day after a bomb detonated by remote control rocked an area near a Turkish police checkpoint in the town and wounded three people.
Sources said that explosives were placed under a car and detonated near the town of Suruc, some 15 kilometers (9 miles) north of the Syrian town of Kobani, where Kurdish fighters recently forced out IS militants after a four-month siege.
