Heavy snowfall has fully paralyzed Istanbul's transport system, the Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported Feb. 19.
The traffic was limited to a minimum in the city, while all the sea voyages were cancelled in the Istanbul waters.
The lessons were cancelled at schools of Istanbul and Ankara as well.
Turkish Airlines announced about the cancellation of 800 domestic and international flights in the morning of February 19.
Heavy snowfalls continue in Istanbul for the fourth straight day. At present, snow cover in different parts of Istanbul is 40-60 centimeters, the Turkish media reported.
