Armed attack in Turkey, police officer killed
Baku, Azerbaijan, July 23
Police officers in the Turkish city of Diyarbakir came under an armed attack on July 23.
Turkish Milliyet newspaper reported that unidentified persons fired at policemen in the city, as a result of which, two police officers were injured.
One of them later died.
A large-scale operation has been launched in the city to capture the criminals.
On July 20, the city of Suruc in the Turkish province of Sanliurfa was hit by a terrorist attack, which killed 32 and injured over 100.
The terrorist organization "Islamic State" is held responsible for that attack.
