Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec.8

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

Iran very quickly forgot about Turkey's support during the period of sanctions, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.

The prime minister added that the remarks of Iranian authorities against the country are inadmissible, TRT Haber TV channel reported Dec.8.

Earlier, Iranian authorities said that the presence of Turkish army on Iraq's territory "poses risk" to the region.

Turkish Foreign Ministry earlier said that Turkey doesn't intend to withdraw its troops from Iraq's Nineveh province.

Turkish armed forces have a tank battalion stationed in the Iraqi province of Nineveh, tasked to prepare Kurdish Peshmerga military forces to fight the IS terrorist organization (also known as ISIS, ISIL or Daesh).

Reportedly, the Iraqi authorities had previously been informed that the Turkish battalion will enter the province.

This is while previously, the Iraqi authorities accused Turkey of military invasion and demanded the Turkish troops to leave the country. In addition, a number of Iraqi MPs demanded from the authorities to launch a military operation against the Turkish troops.
