In 2018, 160 shipwrecks were reported in Turkey, leading to the deaths of 17 people, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
According to the information, 602 people were rescued and 22 people went missing during the shipwrecks in Turkey recorded in this period.
It is noted that no cases of maritime crimes were reported in Turkey for 2018.
According to the Turkish Ministry, 14 aviation-related accidents were recorded in Turkey in 2018, during which 26 people were killed and 7 were rescued.
