Out of 6.6 million tourists who visited Turkey in July 2019, 5.1 million arrived by air, which is 78.03 percent of the total number of arrivals, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In July 2019, 200,600 tourists arrived by sea, which is 3.03 percent of the total number.
According to ministry's report, 1.2 million tourists arrived in Turkey by road and rail transport.
The ministry noted that in July 2019, 2.4 million tourists arrived in the Turkish province of Antalya by air transport, while 1.6 million tourists arrived in Istanbul.
In January-July 2019, 19.066 million tourists arrived in Turkey by air, which is 77.21 percent of the total number of incoming tourists in the mentioned period.
Turkey was visited by 6.617 million tourists in July 2019, which is 16.67 percent more compared to July 2018.
During this period, 1.6 million people visited Istanbul and 2.5 million people visited Antalya.
According to the ministry, 24.6 million people visited Turkey in January-July 2019, which is 14.11 percent more compared to the same period in 2018.
