In January-August 2019, 217 cruise liners arrived in Turkish ports, which is 43 liners more compared to January-August 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.
According to the ministry, Turkish ports did not receive cruise liners in January 2019, one cruise liner arrived at the ports in February, five liners arrived at the country's ports in March, 15 cruise liners arrived in April, 27 liners in May, 54 liners in June, 59 liners in July and 56 liners in August.
As noted, 184,062 passengers were transported to and from Turkey by cruise liners in January-August 2019, which is 29,113 passengers more compared to the same period last year.
In August 2019, 49,166 passengers were transported by cruise liners to and from Turkey.
In 2018, Turkey's ports received 247 cruise liners, which transported 213,700 passengers.
