According to the results of January-August 2019, exports of building materials in Turkey increased by 18.2 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $2.337 billion, Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) told Trend.
The share of exports of building materials for the specified period amounted to 2 percent of total exports of Turkey.
"In August 2019, export of building materials increased by 29.5 percent compared to August 2018, and amounted to $285.653 million. This makes up 2.2 percent of total exports in August 2019," the structure said.
It was noted by the TIM that the export of building materials increased by 15.9 percent over the past 12 months (August 2018 - August 2019) when compared with August 2017-August 2018, and amounted to $3.346 billion.
