Turkish Air Force continues operations in Al Zab region of Iraq's north, Trend reports referring to the National Defense Ministry of Turkey.
As part of the operation, five PKK terrorists, as well as terrorist strongholds were eliminated, reports read.
Operations in northern Iraq will continue until the destruction of the last terrorist, the ministry earlier reported.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has been lasting around 40 years, claiming more than 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.
