From January to September 2019, Turkey's exports of citrus fruits to Azerbaijan (including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) decreased by 32 percent compared to the same period in 2018, a source at Turkey's Union of Exporters of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables told Trend.
The source noted that from January to September 2019, 17,653 tons of citrus fruits were exported from Turkey to Azerbaijan.
In the reported period, citrus fruits worth $6.609 million were exported from Turkey to Azerbaijan, which is 26 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
In September 2019, Turkey's exports of citrus fruits to Azerbaijan decreased by 24 percent compared to September 2018. The volume of the delivered citruses reached 1,342 tons.
In September 2019, Turkey's exports of citruses to Azerbaijan amounted to $634,958 in monetary terms, which is 1 percent less compared to the same period in 2018.
In January-September 2019, Turkey's exports of fruits and vegetables decreased by 19 percent, compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to 2.235 million tons.
According to the source, from January to September 2019, Turkey's income from exports of fruits and vegetables decreased by 12 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $1.344 billion.
In January-September 2019, 864,346 tons of fruits were exported from Turkey, which is 6 percent less compared to the same period of 2018. During the indicated period, Turkey’s income from fruit exports decreased by 1 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and amounted to $638.402 million.
According to the source, from January to September 2019, Turkey's exports of vegetables decreased by 16 percent, compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to 727.999 million tons. Within the same period in 2019, Turkey's vegetable exports amounted to $428.987 million, in money terms.
In the first nine months of 2019, Turkey exported 643,062 tons of citrus fruits, which is 40 percent less compared to January-September 2018. Meanwhile, Turkey's exports of citruses amounted to $277.126 million, in monetary terms.
