Turkey's jewelry exports down

From January to September 2019, Turkey's jewelry exports decreased by 6.9 percent compared to the same period in 2018, and amounted to $3.171 billion, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).

Jewelry exports during the reported period accounted for 2.6 percent of Turkey's total exports.

“In September 2019, Turkish jewelry exports decreased by 25.5 percent compared to September 2018, having amounted to $439.486 million, which is 3.1 percent of total Turkish exports in September 2019,” according to the TIM.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.181 billion, according to the report.

“From January to September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover amounted to $286.419 billion,” the report said.
