The project of creating a state in northern Syria by terrorists remained in the past, Head of the public relations department of the Turkish Presidential Administration Fahrettin Altun tweeted, Trend reports on Oct. 25.
Altun wrote that Turkey was able to resist the creation of a “state” by the terrorists thanks to the decisiveness of the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkey will fight terrorism until complete elimination, the head of the public relations department added.
On Oct. 9, Erdogan announced the beginning of a new military operation in Syria, called Peace Spring.
On Oct. 17, Ankara agreed with Washington to suspend the Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria for 120 hours, so that during this time the YPG/PYD detachments would leave northern Syria.
Time allotted for the cessation of hostilities during the Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria expired at 12:00 (GMT+3) on Oct. 23.
