Turkey's trade with free economic zones down in 10 months of 2019 (Exclusive)

In the first 10 months of 2019, Turkey's exports to free economic zones (FEZ) decreased by 0.4 percent, compared to the same period in 2018, and exceeded $1.8 billion, Trend reports referring to Turkish Trade Ministry.

According to the ministry, Turkey's imports from FEZs decreased by 8.7 percent, compared to the same period of 2018, and amounted to just over $1 billion.

In October 2019, Turkish exports to FEZs increased by 1.7 percent, compared to October 2018, and amounted to slightly over $185.7 million.

According to ministry, Turkey's imports from FEZs in October 2019 increased by 1.4 percent, compared to October 2018, and exceeded $113.489 million.

Turkey's foreign trade turnover in October 2019 amounted to slightly over $34.5 billion.

In October 2019, the amount of Turkey's exports decreased by 1.53 percent, compared to October 2018, and amounted to over $16.3 billion.

Moreover, in October 2019, the amount of Turkey's imports increased by 10.79 percent, compared to October 2018, and exceeded $18.1 billion.

From January through October 2019, Turkey’s foreign trade turnover slightly exceeded $320.9 billion.
