In November this year, 4,379 vessels arrived at Turkish ports, the gross register tonnage of which amounted to 68 million tons, a source in the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend Dec. 16.
During this period, 1,577 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 2,802 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports.
The gross register tonnage of the vessels arriving at Turkish ports flying the Turkish flag totaled 11 million tons for the reporting period, and the gross register tonnage of the vessels flying the flags of other countries – 57 million tons.
From January through November 2019, Turkish ports received 50,987 vessels, the gross register tonnage of which amounted to 728 million tons.
“From January through November 2019, 19,568 vessels flying the Turkish flag and 31,419 vessels flying the flags of other countries arrived at Turkish ports,” said the report.
From January through October 2019, the gross register tonnage of the vessels arriving at Turkish ports under the Turkish flag amounted to 111 million tons, and the gross register tonnage of the vessels flying the flags of other countries - 616 million tons, the ministry said.
