From January through November 2019, 888 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey, which is by 58 companies less compared with the same period of 2018, Turkey's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges told Trend.
In the first 11 months of 2019, the total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 125.5 million Turkish liras ($21.1 million), while in the same period of 2018 this figure was 137 million Turkish liras ($23 million).
In this period, the biggest number of Iranian companies was registered in Istanbul (733 companies), with a combined capital of 95.3 million Turkish liras ($16 million).
“During this period, 67 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkish Antalya province. The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Antalya from January through November 2019, amounted to 7.8 million liras ($1.3 million),” the union said.
From January through November 2019, five mining, 84 industrial companies, 32 construction companies, 391 wholesale and retail companies, 88 tourism companies, and four financial and insurance companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey.
“The remaining 284 companies registered with Iranian capital are involved in other sectors of economy. The total capital of 391 wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 11.719 million liras ($1.97 million),” a source in union said.
