Turkey to build wind farm

A wind farm is planned to be built on the territory of the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Trend reports referring to Turkish media.

The capacity of the wind farm will reach 1,000 kilowatts. The tender will be announced for the construction of a wind farm.

The tender participation fee has not been disclosed.

“Turkey plans to invest $1 billion in the development of renewable energy sources,” Turkish former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak said.

“The construction of new power plants will increase Turkey’s energy security,” he added.
