Turkey interested in increasing trade with Tajikistan

Turkey is interested in increasing trade turnover with Tajikistan, a source at Turkey's Trade Ministry told Trend.

The source underlined that the two countries have the potential to increase trade.

"Turkey sees Tajikistan as one of its economic allies in Central Asia," the source said.

According to a report of the ministry, the Turkey-Tajikistan trade turnover decreased by over $14.6 million in November 2019, compared to November 2018, having exceeded $18.7 million.

Turkey exported goods worth $11.5 million to Tajikistan in November 2019, while its imports from Tajikistan amounted to over $7.1 million.

The trade turnover between Turkey and Tajikistan decreased by $98.9 million in the first 11 months of 2019, compared to the same period in 2018, and exceeding $247.6 million.

Turkey's exports to Tajikistan amounted to over $131.5 million in the first 11 months of 2019, while its imports from Tajikistan reached $116 million.

Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to over $33.2 billion in November 2019.

Turkish exports grew by 0.1 percent in November 2019, compared to November 2018, amounting to just over $15.5 billion.

Turkey's imports increased by 9.7 percent in November 2019, compared to the same month of 2018, and exceeded $17.7 billion.

Turkey's foreign trade turnover exceeded $340.5 billion in the first 11 months of 2019.
