The volume of air cargo transportation to and from Turkey increased by 1.9 percent in January 2020, compared to January 2019, and amounted to 274,943 tons, Trend reports referring to Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to the ministry, in January 2020, 63,247 tons of cargo were transported by domestic flights, and 211,696 tons by international ones.
In the reported period, domestic freight traffic decreased by 7.2 percent compared to January 2019, while freight traffic by international flights increased by 5 percent compared to January 2019.
The freight traffic at the three main airports of Turkey (Sabiha Gokcen, Esenboga and Antalya) was 46,891 tons in January 2020.
