Some 193 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey from January through February 2020, which is 7 less than the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TOBB) on April 2.
During the reporting period, the cum capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey amounted to 30.9 million liras ($4.6 million), against 23.04 million liras ($4.1 million) same period of 2019.
From January through February 2020, most Iranian companies were registered in Istanbul (172 companies) with a cum capital of 24.9 million liras ($3.7 million).
During the reporting period, 2 mining, 11 industrial, 5 construction, 83 wholesale and retail companies, 6 estate, 21 travel and 3 financial insurance companies with Iranian capital have been registered in Turkey.
"Some 62 companies with Iranian capital operate in other segments of the economy," TOBB said.
According to TOBB, the cum capital of 83 wholesale and retail companies registered over the reporting period amounted to 10.3 million liras ($1.5 million).
