Some 95,109 tenders by 9,524 organizations were held in Turkey in 2019, a source at the Turkish State Privatization Authority told Trend.
According to the source, last year, 13,519 tenders were held in the construction sector, 50,600 to purchase goods, 30,752 - in the service sector, and 238 to purchase consulting services.
“Some 13,113 tenders were canceled before the announcement of the results,” the source said.
The total value of tenders held in 2019 amounted to 142.7 billion liras ($21.1 billion).
According to the source, in 2019, the Turkish Presidential Administration announced 323 tenders worth 59.287 million liras ($8.7 million), the Turkish Parliament - 22 tenders worth 65.512 million liras ($9.7 million), the Foreign Ministry - 12 tenders worth 23.373 million liras ($3.4 million), the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources — 256 tenders worth 7.571 million liras ($1.1 million).
