Seventeen companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Turkey from January through March 2020, which is five more compared to the same period of last year, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) told Trend on April 24.
The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Turkey during the reporting period amounted to 3.8 million liras ($550,000), compared to over 695,000 liras ($99,700) for the same period in 2019.
During 1Q2020, most Uzbek companies were registered in Istanbul (14 companies) with a total capital of 2.5 million liras ($370,000).
One of the companies with Uzbek capital registered in Turkey from January through March 2020 operates in industrial sphere, nine in the field of wholesale and retail trade, and two in the construction sector.
"The remaining five companies with Uzbek capital are involved in other sectors of the economy," the TOBB said.
The total capital of nine wholesale and retail companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 2.4 million liras ($350,000), said the union.
