Cargo transshipment volume from Montenegro via Turkish ports revealed

Cargo transshipment from Montenegro via Turkish ports amounted to 32,486 tons from January through March 2020, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

In 1Q2020, the volume of cargo transshipped from Montenegro by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2,277 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – to 30,209 tons.

According to the ministry, no ships flying the flag of Montenegro transported cargo through the Turkish ports over the reporting period.

During this period, no cargo transshipment by transit from Montenegro through the Turkish ports was carried out.

During 1Q2020, the volume of cargo transported by ships via Turkish ports amounted to over 94.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 7.4 million tons from January through March 2020.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries in the first quarter of this year amounted to 3.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 83.1 million tons.

Over the reporting period, 18.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to 32.1 million tons in March 2020. The volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to over 2.8 million tons.

In March 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying their countries’ flags amounted to 1.3 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 27.9 million tons.

According to the ministry, 5.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
