Cargo transshipment from Bulgaria via Turkish ports revealed

Transshipment of goods from Bulgaria via the ports of Turkey in the first 4 months of 2020 amounted to over 1.3 million tons, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

From January through April of this year, the volume of cargo handled from Bulgaria by ships flying the Turkish flag made up 576,729 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 737,137 tons.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, no cargo was handled by ships flying the Bulgarian flag.

Meanwhile, 425,678 tons of cargo from Bulgaria were transited through Turkish ports.

From January through April 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to more than 123.4 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag surpassed 9.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 4.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 108.8 million tons from January through April 2020.

Over the reporting period, over 24.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to more than 28.8 million tons in April 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 2.2 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 25.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, 6.5 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
