Volume of jet fuel transshipment through Turkish ports announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 5

A total of 553,103 tons of jet fuel were transported via Turkish ports from January through April 2020, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Ministry told Trend on June 5.

During the reporting period, volumes of jet fuel transshipped through Turkish ports by ships flying the Turkish flag made up 13,500 tons, and 539,603 tons were transshipped by ships flying flags of other countries.

Meanwhile, 9,029 tons of fuel oil were transited via Turkish ports.

From January through April 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to more than 123.4 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag surpassed 9.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 4.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 108.8 million tons from January through April 2020.

Over the reporting period, over 24.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to more than 28.8 million tons in April 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag made up 2.2 million tons, by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 979,880 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 25.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, 6.5 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in April 2020.
