Cargo shipment volume from Ukraine via Turkish ports announced

Shipment of cargo from Ukraine via Turkish ports in the first four months of 2020 reached 4.3 million tons, Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

From January through April 2020, the volume of cargo transported from Ukraine by ships flying the Turkish flag made up 534,320 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries – 3.5 million tons.

In the reporting period, 186,284 tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Ukrainian flag via the Turkish ports.

Meanwhile, over 1.3 million tons of cargo were transited from Ukraine through the Turkish ports.

From January through April 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to more than 123.4 million tons.

Meanwhile, the volume of cargo handled by ships flying the Turkish flag surpassed 9.6 million tons.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 4.9 million tons, while the cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 108.8 million tons from January through April 2020.

Over the reporting period, over 24.9 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.

The volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports amounted to more than 28.8 million tons in April 2020.

In the reporting month, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 2.2 million tons, while cargo transshipment by ships flying the flags of other countries stood at 25.6 million tons.

According to the ministry, 6.5 million tons of cargo was transported in transit through the ports of Turkey in March 2020.
