Passenger transportation through Turkey's Konya airport decreases

The volume of air cargo transportation through Turkey's Konya Airport decreased by 43 percent from January through May 2020 compared to the same period of 2019 and amounted to 1,915 tons, Trend reports on July 1 referring to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

During the reporting period, 1,430 tons of cargo were transported through Konya Airport via domestic flights, which is by 45 percent less compared to the same period of 2019. In turn, 485 tons were transported through Konya Airport via international flights, which is by 32 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

According to the data, Konya Airport served 209,913 passengers from January through May 2020, which is 48 percent less compared to the same period in 2019.

From January through May 2020, 188,509 passengers were served by domestic flights, which is 49 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

Some 21,404 passengers were served by international flights at Konya Airport from January through May 2020, which is 36 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

As many as 1,581 flights were made through Konya Airport from January through May 2020, which is 46 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

Some 1,425 domestic flights were made from January through May 2020, which is 46 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

The number of international flights through Antalya Airport decreased by 44 percent from January through May 2020 compared to the period from January through May 2019 and reached 156.

From January through May 2020, the number of flights decreased by 46.5 percent in Turkey and reached 304,121 flights.

Some 33.7 million passengers were served at all Turkish airports from January through May 2020.

During the reporting period, 304,121 flights were made at all airports of the country and 922,610 tons of cargo were transported.
