Turkey unveils its foreign trade turnover for July 2020

Turkey's foreign trade turnover totaled over $32.8 billion in July 2020, the country's Ministry of Trade told Trend.

The ministry noted that Turkey's exports during the reporting month decreased by 5.8 percent compared to the same month of 2019, amounting to $15.1 billion.

At the same time, imports of Turkey rose by 7.9 percent compared to July 2019 and exceeded $17.7 billion.

From January through July 2020, Turkey's trade turnover amounted to over $206.7 billion.

In the reporting period, volume of Turkey's exports was 13.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019, making up over $90.1 billion, the ministry said.

In the first 7 months of this year, Turkey's imports declined by 3.9 percent compared to the same period of last year, amounting to $116.6 billion.

In 2019, Turkey's foreign trade turnover amounted to $374.2 billion.
