The transshipment of goods from Turkmenistan through the ports of Turkey amounted to 326,644 tons from January through September 2020, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
As noted in the ministry, during the specified period, all cargo transportation from Turkmenistan through the ports of Turkey was carried out by ships flying the flag of other countries.
During this period, 2,260 tons of cargo were transported from Turkmenistan in transit through the ports of Turkey.
From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 270.57 million tons.
In the reporting period, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 21.72 million tons.
From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through Turkish ports by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 10.05 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 238.79 million tons.
During this period, 54.49 million tons of cargo passed through the ports of Turkey.
In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 31.17 million tons.
In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.76 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of their countries amounted to 1.01 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 27.40 million tons.
According to the ministry, in September 2020, 6.23 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
