The transshipment of goods from Greece through the ports of Turkey amounted to 12.48 million tons from January through September 2020, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey told Trend.
The volume of cargo transshipment from Greece by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 646,921 tons, and by ships flying the flags of other countries - 11.65 million tons.
According to the ministry, 180,173 tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Greek flag during the specified period.
During the specified period, the volume of transshipment of goods in transit from Greece through the ports of Turkey amounted to 1.90 million tons.
From January through September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 270.57 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 21.72 million tons, by ships flying the flags of their countries - 10.05 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 238.79 million tons.
During this period, 54.49 million tons of cargo were transited through the ports of Turkey.
In September 2020, the volume of cargo transshipment through the ports of Turkey amounted to 31.17 million tons.
The volume of cargo transshipment by ships flying the Turkish flag amounted to 2.76 million tons, by ships flying the flags of their countries - 1.01 million tons, and under the flags of other countries - 27.40 million tons.
According to the ministry, in September 2020, 6.23 million tons of cargo were transported in transit through the ports of Turkey.
