The trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia decreased by $8 million in October 2020, compared to the same month of 2019, amounting to $138.7 million, the Turkish Ministry of Trade told Trend.
In reporting month, the value of Turkey's exports to Georgia amounted to $128.2 million, and imports from Georgia - $10.4 million, the ministry said.
From January through October 2020, the trade turnover between Turkey and Georgia decreased by $89.5 million compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $1.23 billion.
In 10M2020, Turkey's exports to Georgia amounted to $1.07 billion, and imports from Georgia - $159 million, the ministry said.
Turkey's foreign trade turnover for October 2020 surpassed $37 billion. In this month, Turkey's exports increased by 5.6 percent year on year, reaching $17.3 billion.
At the same time, Turkey's imports rose by 8.4 percent over the year and totaled over $19.7 billion.
Turkey's trade turnover from January through October 2020 amounted to $311.5 billion.
In the past 10 months of this year, Turkey's exports dropped by 9.1 percent compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $135.6 billion, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, Turkey's imports increased by 1.2 percent over the year, amounting to $175.8 billion.
In 2019, Turkey's foreign trade turnover was equal to $374.2 billion.
