Iran's demand for Turkish steel rises in 2M2021

Demand for Turkish-made steel in the construction market of Iran has grown during the first 2 months of 2021, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the reporting period, the value of steel exports from Turkey to Iran rose by 22.4 percent compared to the same period of 2020, topping $4.6 million.

Overall, Turkey’s steel exports to global markets from January through February this year increased by 6.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020, exceeding $2.26 billion.

Turkey exported steel worth over $1.21 billion to foreign markets in February 2021, which is 21.5 percent more compared to the same month of last year.

Over the past 12 months (from February 2020 to February 2021), Turkey has exported steel worth more than $12.7 billion.
